Nancy Surgenor is the Director of Admission at The Sage School in Foxboro, Ma, which serves the needs of academically gifted students from pre-K – eighth grade. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a concentration in Elementary Education from Wheelock College in Boston. Nancy taught in the public elementary schools prior to teaching Pre-K at Sage. After a year and one half teaching at Sage, Nancy moved into her current position as Director of Admission. She brings with her strong knowledge of education and ample experience with gifted students.

Has taught at the primary grade level for thirty-one years in various school systems throughout Western MA as well as at the American School of Valencia Spain. Was part of the first group of teachers to attend the UMass-Amherst Javits course Introduction to Advanced, Talented, and Creative Learners and was also one of the teachers profiled in the PBS documentary series "Only A Teacher" which premiered nationally in the year 2001.

Margaret Estes: Community activist currently working along with Stand For Children in securing funding for education today. As an offshoot to these activities she looks forward to focusing her efforts on lobbying the legislature to ensure that the State will mandate programs for the Gifted and Talented children throughout the public schools . She has a Bachelor's degree in social work from Buffalo State College. Has served in a variety of leadership roles with multiple organizations such as Stand for Children, the Framingham Creative Arts Committee, the Hemenway Elementary School PTO in Framingham and the Girl Scouts of America. |
