SAMPLE EMAIL:
A “Dear Colleague” letter is now circulating in the House showing support for the Javits program and requesting that the appropriations sub-committee on education fund the program at $11.25 million. Reps. Jim Matheson (UT-2) and Elton Gallegly (CA-24) are co-authors of the House “Dear Colleague” letter.
This is the only federal funding to support students of high potential. It is a matter of equity and excellence for low socio-economic and otherwise disadvantaged students!
Please cosign the Gallegly-Matheson appropriations letter in support of funding for the Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Students Act in FY 2011.
